FLOWERS AND GARLAND MAKING

Mother Haridhvani makes garlands for the Deities from camelia flowers, a service she’s been doing for decades.

At New Talavan, virtually all of the flowers we use for our daily deity worship are grown on site. The flowers include roses, gardenias, camelias, marigolds, azaleas, and many types of wild flowers.

We have some dedicated devotees who maintain the flower gardens, pick the flowers through all sorts of weather, and make the garlands every morning without fail.

Mother Prisni has been a steadfast flower gatherer and garland maker for decades. The service obviously makes her happy.
