Come join us on Thursday November 8th for our annual Govardhan Puja festival, in which we celebrate Govardhan Hill, the holy place of many dear pastimes of Lord Krishna.
The festivities begin in the temple room for Sandhya Arati at 6:00 p.m. Then, at 6:30, we will offer a special puja ceremony to an opulent “hill” of sweets decorated with animals and other figures made by our congregation’s youth. Following the circumambulation of the hill, the children’s decorations will be sold off in a lively auction, the proceeds of which go to our youth program.
Then there will be a mahaprasadam feast beginning at 7:45 p.m.
